It is used in cases of GERD in both adults and children when food and stomach juices back up into the esophagus causing burning pain in the esophagus and throat, also known as burning chest pain and helps prevent reflux.

It is used in cases of gastric and duodenal ulcers, depending on their location, which is caused by an increase in stomach acid. It also prevents the recurrence of ulcers after treatment.

Dosage:

This medication is given by drip (infusion) into a vein, often once a day, or as directed by your doctor.
