  • Clear size markings simplify clinical workflow.

  • Short to medium-term bladder drainage (typically up to 30 days).

  • Urinary management following abdominal, pelvic, or urological surgery.

  • Accurate monitoring of urine output in critical care or perioperative settings.

  • Bladder decompression due to urinary retention or obstruction.

  • Routine catheterization.

Instructions for using a Silicone Urinary Catheter

  1. Clean hands thoroughly.

  2. Position the patient appropriately for catheter insertion.

  3. Open the sterile catheter tray and establish a sterile field.

  4. Don sterile gloves using aseptic technique.

  5. Clean the urethral meatus with an antiseptic solution according to protocol.

  6. Apply a generous amount of sterile water-based lubricant to the catheter tip (12.5 - 17.5 cm for males, and 5 - 9 cm for females).

  7. Gently insert the catheter using the correct technique until urine flows.

  8. Advance the catheter an additional 2.5 - 5 cm to the hub to ensure the balloon is fully within the bladder.

  9. Inflate the retention balloon with 10 ml of sterile water (never use saline solution).

  10. Gently pull back on the catheter until resistance is felt, confirming balloon engagement at the bladder neck.
