Cetal Syrup Ingredients

Cetal Syrup contains 120 mg of Paracetamol per 5 ml, which is an active ingredient that acts as a pain reliever and fever reducer.

Cetal Syrup Uses

Cetal Syrup is used to treat:

  • Mild to moderate pain, including headaches, migraines, nerve pain, toothaches, sore throats, menstrual pain, and general aches and pains.

  • Fever or high body temperature.

Cetal Syrup Dosage

  • Shake the bottle well for 10 seconds before use.

  • Children 3 - 6 months: 2.5 ml, 4 times daily.

  • Children 6 - 24 months: 5 ml, 4 times daily.

  • Children 2 - 4 years: 7.5 ml, 4 times daily.

  • Children 4 - 8 years: 10 ml, 4 times daily.

  • Children 8 - 10 years: 15 ml, 4 times daily.

  • Children 10 - 12 years: 20 ml, 4 times daily.

  • Do not exceed more than 4 doses within 24 hours.

  • Ensure a minimum of 4 hours between each dose.

Cetal Side Effects

Cetal Syrup rarely causes side effects, except in some cases, such as:

  • Allergic reactions in case of hypersensitivity to Paracetamol, appearing as a skin rash or facial swelling.

  • Kidney or liver damage with overdose or prolonged use.

Contraindications

Cetal Syrup should not be used in case of:

  • Hypersensitivity to its ingredients.

  • Concurrent use of any other medication containing Paracetamol.

  • If the child is between 2 - 3 months old and is taking this medicine for other causes of pain and fever, and weighs less than 4 kg or was born before 37 weeks.

  • Kidney problems.

  • Liver problems.

  • Inherited intolerance to fructose or a diagnosis of intolerance to other types of sugars.

Drug Interactions

Consult a physician or pharmacist before taking Cetal Syrup alongside any other medication, especially:

  • Antidepressants.

  • Blood thinners (Anticoagulants).

  • Epilepsy medications.

  • Medications for nausea and vomiting.

  • Cholesterol-lowering drugs.

  • Antibiotics.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

  • Do not use the medication after the expiration date.
