Mobic Components

Mobic contains 7.5 mg of the active ingredient "Meloxicam", a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and relieves joint and muscle pain.

What is MOBIC 7.5 mg Used for?

Mobic 7.5 mg pain-relieving tablets are used for:

  • Short-term treatment of acute osteoarthritis flare-ups.

  • Long-term treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Mobic 7.5 mg Dosage

  • Osteoarthritis attacks: 7.5 mg daily; the doctor may increase the dose to 15 mg daily.

  • Rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis: 15 mg daily; the doctor may reduce the dose to 7.5 mg daily.

Side Effects of Mobic Tablets

Mobic tablets may cause some side effects, such as:

  • Indigestion (Dyspepsia).

  • Nausea and vomiting.

  • Constipation.

  • Flatulence (Bloating).

  • Diarrhea.

  • Headache.

Contraindications

Mobic tablets should not be used in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to any of its components.

  • Children and adolescents under 16 years of age.

  • Previous history of symptoms after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., wheezing, shortness of breath, nasal congestion, or skin rash).

  • History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy.

  • Active stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding.

  • Severe liver or kidney impairment.

  • Recent brain hemorrhage (cerebrovascular bleeding).

  • Bleeding disorders.

  • Severe heart failure.

  • The last trimester of pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

  • Intolerance to certain sugars, as this medication contains lactose.

Warnings and Precautions

Caution should be exercised, and a doctor must be consulted before taking Mobic, especially in cases of:

  • High blood pressure (Hypertension).

  • Diabetes.

  • High cholesterol.

  • Smoking.

  • Heart problems.

Drug Interactions
